Sorin Grindeanu expressed hope that by the end of next year it will be possible to travel the entire length of the highways, linking the DN1 and A2 roads. He mentioned it as an important step forward that the second and third sections were connected, allowing the use of the A0 road from DN1 to DN2. He stated that last year they completed 20 kilometers of the second section, but only half of it could be used due to previous planning errors.
Now, however, they managed to open a two-kilometer section, making the entire previously unusable nine-kilometer stretch accessible. As for the future, he added that he is confident that by the end of 2025 the highway will open in its entirety from DN1 to A2. He believes it is particularly important to meet the deadlines for the third and fourth sections, regardless of who will be in power or minister.
He also announced the opening of additional highway sections in the near future. Within the next 10-15 days, the sections between Ploiești and Buzău will be put into operation, and the third section between Buzău and Focșani will also be opened. Furthermore, the 16-kilometer stretch between Pitești and Băiculești will be delivered ahead of schedule. When asked about the opening of the southern section of the A0, Grindeanu stated that the work is progressing well, although it is doubtful it will be completed by the end of the year. However, it is expected to be put into service at the beginning of the year and completed by April at the latest.
